VAL-D’OR– MP Romeo Saganash, (Abitibi—James Bay—Nunavik—Eeyou), returned to work today following a medical leave.

Saganash will continue working to represent the interests of his constituents. He will also participate in the NDP’s upcoming caucus strategy meetings in Ottawa, from January 16 to 18.

“It’s great to be back at the office,” declared Saganash. “We have a lot of work ahead and people in my riding are counting on me to get the job done. I won’t let them down.”

In addition to the people of his riding, who have been very understanding, Saganash had many people to thank for their help during this period.

“First, I would like thank all the people who sent me messages of encouragement. You really warmed my heart,” said Saganash. “I would also like to thank my colleague Christine Moore and others in the NDP caucus for their help and support. I would also like to express my appreciation for the hard work of the staff at my Val d’Or, Chibougamau and Ottawa offices, who continued to forge forward on issues of interest to the people of our riding.”
