REMINDER: THOMAS MULCAIR AND ROMEO SAGANASH TO TOUR THE NORTH OF QUEBEC

KUUJJUAQ AND CHIBOUGAMAU — New Democrat leader Tom Mulcair and MP Romeo Saganash will begin a two day tour of northern Quebec on Tuesday, which will bring them to the municipalities of Kuujjuaq of Chibougamau.

In Kuujjuaq, they will be meeting with Mayor Tunu Napartuk at the municipal council in order to discuss local issues. An encounter with the Makivik Corporation is also scheduled. In the evening, a public assembly has been organized at City Hall, where Mulcair and Saganash will hear citizens’ questions.

The following day, the MPs will make their way towards Chibougamau, where a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce is scheduled, as well as a discussion with the mayors and city councillors. They will also be meeting with young Cree leaders.

“It is a great pleasure to be meeting the citizens of Kuujjuaq and Chibougamau with my friend Romeo,” said Mulcair. “This tour will be an opportunity to discuss the many important issues for the riding, such as the sustainable economic development of the region, job creation and access to affordable, quality housing.”
