MP ROMEO SAGANASH TO DISTRIBUTE INCOME TAX FORMS BY MAIL BY REQUEST FROM CITIZENS

Val-d’Or – The Member of Parliament for Abitibi-Baie James Eeyou Nunavik invites constituents who are having difficulties getting a paper copy of federal Income tax return forms for 2012 to contact his office, who will send those forms by mail.

In a recent announcement, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) informed the public that it would no longer be mailing income tax forms to the public at large, and will only mail forms to those who request them by telephone. CRA has also invited citizens to file a return online, but not all citizens have access to the technology required to do so.

"During this busy period, it can very difficult for some people to contact Canada Revenue Agency by phone and many people cannot get to a Service Canada office. That is why I encourage people to contact my office at 819-824-2942 and we will arrange to send them the forms by mail" says Romeo Saganash.
