Val-d’Or, June 27, 2012 — Five New Democrat MPs, Sylvain Chicoine (Châteauguay—Saint-Constant), Matthew Dubé (Chambly—Borduas) Hoang Mai (Brossard—La Prairie), Pierre Nantel (Longueuil—Pierre-Boucher) and Romeo Saganash (Abitibi—Baie-James—Nunavik—Eeyou) participated in the Coupe Dix30 corporate challenge, a relay race held in the Michel-Chartrand Park in Longueuil.

“The Coupe DIX30 is definitely a major challenge on the South Shore. After assistants participated in the first stage on May 20, we proudly took our turn in the beautiful Michel Chartrand Park. What team spirit and healthy competition! Congratulations to Athlétisme Rive-Sud for hosting the first edition of the challenge, which will benefit from some of the money raised. Long live the Coupe DIX30 and the corporate challenge, whose regional focus is a prelude to the 2014 Quebec Games,” said the MPs.

The Coupe DIX30 is a running race with five stages that takes place between May and August. Races of 1 km, 5 km and 10 km on fast tracks, in loops and with a shotgun start are held for professional athletes and race fans alike. For information: www.coupedix30.com.
